as a kid... and although I'd not played
cricket for a while I'd often go there to
socialise and watch the 1st XI.
As you can imagine
there were always a
few interesting
characters around
in the clubhouse.
But one guy in
particular had
always fascinated
me.
He was this old
fellow, who always
wore this old
fashioned rain coat
no matter the
weather.
You'd always see
him sitting alone,
pint in hand,
whether he was
outside watching
the cricket or inside
watching sport on
the television.
